Model-turned TV star Sam Pinto doesn't mind critics who question her newly-acquired FHM Sexiest Woman of 2011 title.
"I can't please everyone, it's okay," she told reporters at a recent press conference.
Apparently, Sam's detractors are not convinced that she is sexier than previous title holders Marian Rivera (now at the second spot) and Angel Locsin (currently at third place).
"Yeah, and in Twitter, I read it. People usually react, bakit? Mukha raw akong stick!" Sam said, laughing.
Sam doesn’t take the remarks personally, saying, “Maybe they think of sexy in a different way. They think [that] sexy [is] about the boobs, [and the] butt. [But] for me being sexy is different. [It’s] being confident in yourself. Loving your body for who you are.”
Asked how she would justify her FHM victory, given that Marian and Angel presumably have more fans than her, Sam simply said, "Mas passionate ang mga fans ko!"
"That's why sobrang thankful ako sa kanila from the bottom of my heart. Thank you, thank you so much.”
The former “Pinoy Big Brother Double Up” housemate added that Marian and Angel already had their time as FHM's Sexiest.
